AI for teachers

AI that drafts. You decide.

The useful part of AI for teaching is the first draft. ClassKite writes practice questions for your topic in seconds — and then gets out of the way while you check them.

AI question generation is part of ClassKite Plus and the School plan. Writing and importing questions is free on Teacher Basic.

The problem

Most of what is sold as AI for teachers either does something you would never delegate, or produces something you have to rewrite anyway. The genuinely tedious job is different: producing enough good practice questions, at the right level, on the topic you are teaching this week.

One job, done well

Tell ClassKite the topic and what you need, and it drafts practice questions of the types it can mark. Every one arrives as a draft: you read them, fix the wording, cut the ones that miss, and only then do they become a practice. Nothing reaches a student that you have not approved.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose the topic

Work inside the section you are teaching, so the questions match the material.

  2. 2

    Ask for a draft

Say how many and what kind. Multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, short answer.

  3. 3

    Review every question

Edit, reword, delete. This step is not optional and it is not skippable.

  4. 4

    Use them

Run them live, set them for independent work, or keep them in the bank for later.

In the classroom

Twenty minutes before a cover lesson, a teacher drafts twelve questions on the topic, deletes three that miss the point, tightens two, and walks in with a practice that works.

What you get

Drafts in seconds

The blank-page part of making practice, handled.

You edit before use

Every question passes through you. The AI never assigns anything.

They join your bank

Approved questions are yours to reuse and regroup.

Only markable types

It drafts the question types ClassKite can check automatically.

Or bring your own

The spreadsheet template includes a prompt you can use with any AI, then import.

Subject accuracy stays yours

You are the subject expert; the draft is a starting point, not an answer key.

Frequently asked questions

Does ClassKite write lesson plans?

No. It drafts practice questions, which is the part it can do well and you can check quickly. There is no lesson-plan generator, and we would rather say so than sell you one.

Does AI mark student work?

No. Answers are checked against the correct answer you set, not judged by a model. Marking is deterministic.

Can I trust the questions?

Treat them as a first draft from a capable assistant who does not know your class. Read every one — that review step is built into the flow deliberately.

Can I use my own AI tool instead?

Yes. The question bank spreadsheet template includes a ready-made prompt: generate elsewhere, fill in the template, and import.
