The problem
Making a test is the easy half. Marking thirty of them, adding up the scores and doing it all again next year is where the evening goes.
From questions to a marked test
Build questions in the section they belong to and group them into a test. Run it live with the class, or unlock it for students to sit at their own pace. Everything is checked as it is answered, and the report tells you the class average and, for every student, what they got right first time and what they solved in the end.

Is it free?
Yes. You can build questions and run tests on Teacher Basic without paying. AI question drafting and the class reports are part of Teacher Plus and the School plan.
Is there proctoring or lockdown?
There is no proctoring or webcam monitoring, so ClassKite suits classroom tests and practice rather than high-stakes exams. In SBQ mode, copying the questions is turned off and you see which answers were given after a student left the page. On iPads, you can require Safe Exam Browser to lock the iPad to the test until you end the session.
What question types are supported?
Six types: multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank (word or number), matching and jumbled sentence. A blank takes one word or one number and is matched exactly (capitals don't matter). There are no short-answer, free-text or essay questions, and no partial marks. Maths notation renders properly, including in the question and the answer.
Can I reuse a test?
Yes. Questions live in the section, so you can regroup them into a new test whenever you need one.
