Pricing FAQ
Do students need paid accounts?
No. Students never pay and never need their own subscription — they join a teacher's class with a class code and take practice for free. Plans only ever cover teachers.
Can I switch plans later? What happens if I downgrade?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Downgrades keep all your existing content; the lower plan's limits only apply to new creation, so nothing you've already made is removed.
Can schools pay annually and receive an invoice?
Yes. Schools can choose annual billing (discounted versus monthly) and pay for the whole school on a single invoice rather than per teacher.
Can schools add or remove teachers later?
Yes. School admins manage seats from the admin console and can add or remove teachers as the team changes. Schools are billed in blocks of 15 seats — the listed price covers up to 15 seats and the seat count rounds up to whole blocks (16–30 seats = 2 blocks, and so on).
Can we start with just one department?
Yes. Because billing is per 15-seat block, a single department can start on the School plan as a pilot and expand to more departments later without changing how it works.
What payment methods are supported?
Card and PayPal payments, handled securely through PayPal. (Additional Gulf payment methods are planned.)
Is student data protected?
Yes. ClassKite is funded by subscriptions, not advertising — we don't sell personal information and there are no third-party ads. Accounts are role-based and connections are encrypted in transit. See our Trust & security page for details.
Do you offer annual discounts?
Yes — annual billing is discounted versus monthly (toggle above to compare).
